By purchasing from MadeByMeCLAY or MadeByMeCrafts you consent to me using your personal information in the ways described below. Without your consent to use your information in the ways set out in this policy, I will not be able to fulfill your order.

As customers and fans of MadeByMeCLAY and MadeByMeCrafts, I may hold some information about you (your name, email address, and in come cases, your postal address and telephone number). This is a short note setting out everything you could ever wish to know about how I collect, use and store this information. But if you still have any pressing questions after reading this, please contact me.

Your information:

To fulfill your order, I will receive certain information (which you gave Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information and the details of the product that you are ordering. You may provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order, for example), if you contact me directly.

When you order from me, either directly or through my online shop, you give me sufficient information about you to enable me to process the order.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When I talk about "information", I am only referring to your contact details. I never have access to your financial information when you make payments using PayPal, Etsy checkout, credit/debit, or Etsy payments. All sensitive financial information is held securely by the processing companies, and they never share this with me, or anyone else.

The website provider I use, Etsy, has cookies enabled for this site to make sure your computer (or other device) is recognised when you visit here again.

Who has access to your information

As sole craft maker and business owner for MadeByMeCLAY and Crafts, I am the only one who ever has access to all your information, and I never, ever, ever pass this on to anyone else. I have annual assistance from an accountant to complete my tax returns who has partial details which will never be shared and are all sent via firewall server as password protected files.

I use MailChimp as a way of managing my mailing list, and your details are also stored on their servers (click the links to find out more about their Privacy Policy and Terms of Use). You will only ever end up on this mailing list if you have signed up for my newsletter, or if you have specifically asked me to add you to it.

If you pay me using PayPal, they will also hold information about you. You can read their Privacy Policy here.

How I use your information:

I will use this information: 1) To fulfill your order First and foremost, I need to use and process your information to post you the goods you ordered. 2) To contact you I may use your contact details to communicate with you about your order, both before and after I send you goods. 3) For legal reasons I may keep records of past orders in order to calculate taxes payable, file tax returns and track shipping. I’ll only keep your personal data as long as is necessary to fulfill these purposes. For tax purposes I am required to keep records for 5 years. Keeping your information private and secure: I will only share your information for very limited reasons and circumstances, as follows: 1) If you agree 2) With my service providers (including our delivery companies and payment processors. These are password protected files stored on a finger print recognition device. I also access your address via the Etsy seller app on my password protected mobile device in order to update you as early as possible when your item has shipped. On an annual basis, partial details may be shared with my accountant 3) With Etsy 4) For legal reasons (including in the event of a dispute, or if I have a good faith belief that applicable law requires that I share the info with a third party).

This is held on my password-protected and finger print sign-in laptop. I carry it with me at times and everyone in the house other than me is banned from touching it. My Laptop is always never removed from the house
I keep this spreadsheet solely for accounting and tax purposes.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time what information I hold about you, and I will give you full details free of charge. You also have the right to ask that your details be deleted, amended or transferred. If you ever change your mind about what information, if any, you want me to hold on your behalf, just contact me. If you are based in the EU, you’re granted certain rights under data protection law. These include the right to access, and in certain circumstances to correct and delete, your personal information.
